Welcome to Congregational Place in Chula Vista: A New Community for Older Adults
We are thrilled to announce a fantastic new project in Chula Vista: Congregational Place. This development will breathe new life into a long-vacant downtown lot, creating a vibrant and secure community for older adults. Featuring a range of amenities and sustainable features, Congregational Place is set to become a cornerstone of our city’s revitalization efforts. This seven-story complex will offer 56 units specifically for low-income seniors, providing much-needed affordable housing. Although we don’t have details on the sign-up or prequalification process yet, we will share that information as soon as it becomes available. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project!

Congregational Place amenities for residents
The first floor is the hub of essential services and conveniences. Here, residents will find:
- Mail Room
- Laundry Room
- Manager’s Office
- Receptionist Area
- Service Coordinator’s Office
Additionally, 2,083 square feet of commercial space will be leased to San Ysidro Health. The company plans to operate a PACE program, providing comprehensive healthcare services to income—and age-eligible individuals in the South Bay area.
Second-Floor Features
The second floor is designed for leisure and community activities, featuring:
- Community Room
- Computer Room
- Arts & Crafts Room
- Large Outdoor Deck
To support aging in place, 50% of the apartments on floors two through seven will be accessible for individuals with mobility impairments. In comparison, 2% will cater to those with visual and hearing impairments.

Congregational Place is committed to sustainability and energy efficiency. The building will be equipped with:
- Solar panels and battery storage systems will supply some of the site’s electricity.
- Energy Star Appliances throughout the building.

- Water-conserving fixtures, including low-flow shower heads, faucets, and high-efficiency toilets.
- WaterSense Labeled Products for optimal water efficiency.
Prime Location for getting around Chula Vista
This community is a transit-oriented development conveniently situated near multiple transportation options. Residents can easily access:
