Ojos Locos Sports Cantina opening soon in Chula Vista

Ojos Locos Sports Cantina

Known as the “Mexican Hooters,” Texas-based Ojos Locos Sports Cantina is set to open its first Southern California location in Chula Vista.

Ojos Locos, meaning “crazy eyes” in Spanish, is a Mexican restaurant and sports bar concept founded in Dallas, TX, back in 2010 by restaurateurs including Randy DeWitt, the owner of the parent company that previously established Twin Peaks, another infamous ‘breastaurant.’ The first Ojos Locos restaurant debuted alongside the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and since then, the chain has been dedicated to showcasing both international and domestic soccer matches at all of its locations. With over two dozen branches mainly in Texas, this sports bar chain is renowned for its bilingual waitresses referred to as “chicas,” who sport eye-catching uniforms.

Despite facing opposition from the community, the first-ever California location of Ojos Locos is making its way to the Southeast Los Angeles city of Downey. As for the San Diego branch, it will soon occupy the space currently held by Buffet House within the Palomar Commerce shopping center in West Chula Vista. Similar to its other branches, you can expect a menu featuring a delectable fusion of Mexican and American cuisine, including mouthwatering appetizers, refreshing salads, juicy burgers, savory sandwiches, tantalizing wings, flavorful tacos, sizzling fajitas, and satisfying entrees, all served alongside an extensive drink selection.

Ojos Locos Sports Cantina is scheduled to welcome customers by the end of the year at 693 Palomar Street, Suite 10, in Chula Vista. You can get more information on their website here; Ojos Locos Sports Cantina.
