The upcoming Gaylord Resort Chula Vista is set to transform South Bay’s tourism landscape, offering an unparalleled blend of luxury accommodations and entertainment amenities. This $1.2 billion development, nestled on Chula Vista’s picturesque bayfront, is slated to open its doors in May 2025. It will feature 1,600 rooms and 477,000 square feet of event space.
Resort Highlights The resort promises to be a premier destination, enticing visitors with a 4.25-acre water park and 12 diverse dining and drinking venues. Dining experiences range from the upscale Old Hickory Steakhouse to the locally inspired Trēō Kitchen + Bar, with additional options like Growlers Sports Bar, Marzul Coastal Cuisine, and casual poolside venues Sunnys and Shallow End Grill.
Dining and Entertainment Sports enthusiasts can unwind at Growlers Sports Bar & Taproom, enjoying craft beers and live sports coverage. Marzul Coastal Cuisine offers vibrant, authentic Mexican flavors, while Sunnys and Shallow End Grill provide refreshing poolside bites and drinks.
Water Park Attractions The resort’s expansive water park includes thrilling slides, a lazy river, a wave pool, and a surf simulator. Families can enjoy interactive play areas, and guests seeking relaxation can lounge in private cabanas or dip into multiple pools.
