Chula Vista Firefighters Pancake Breakfast
On Saturday, I had the chance to attend the Chula Vista Firefighters Pancake Breakfast event. Fire Station 5 in Chula Vista was buzzing with excitement on Saturday morning as firefighters swapped their hoses for spatulas at their annual pancake breakfast. The event saw firefighters flip pancakes and serve delicious breakfasts while connecting with the community they proudly serve. There were also so many family fun activities that gave kids the chance to be a firefighter for the day. The highlight was the mini firetruck rides, I even jumped on board and went for a ride.
Hosted by the Chula Vista Firefighter Foundation, this beloved event wasn’t just about good food and fostering a strong community spirit. Attendees enjoyed hearty breakfasts while mingling with the heroes who keep Chula Vista safe.
Donations poured in during the event, with some proceeds earmarked to support local families displaced by fires. “It’s heartwarming to help those who’ve faced tough times and to see our community rally together beyond just emergencies,” shared Amanda, a Chula Vista resident who learned about the event on our Instagram account.
But the Foundation’s good deeds don’t stop there! They also adopt a family for the holidays and host a fantastic annual Easter egg hunt, spreading joy and support throughout the year.
Stay tuned for more community events, and remember, every pancake flipped and every dollar donated helps make Chula Vista a stronger, more connected community! Remember you can always find out more events like this on our Chula Vista event calendar here.
