Chula Vista 4th of July celebration on J St.

Since we are getting close to the 4th of July celebrations here in Chula Vista I have a photo from 2005. Who remembers back when the celebration and fireworks used to take place at the J St. Marina? I do, it was a lot of fun and so many people miss it. When they made the decision to stop having it at the Marina so many people were upset. It was the biggest summer celebration we had in Chula Vista. They had live music, vendors, games, food and of course fireworks. You had to get there at the crack of dawn to get a good spot at the bay.

This is going to be the first time I go to the Chula Vista 4th of July Fest at the training center. I’m curious to see how it is and if I will be back. My hopes are that once they build the new resort and hotel at the J St. Marina they will bring the 4th of July fireworks back to the bay. Let’s all cross our fingers.
