Chula Vista Fire Department Open House is Back on Saturday October 11th

What is happening Chula Vista?! One of my favorite events is coming up fast, and I’m excited to see everyone there. The Chula Vista Fire Department Open House for Fire Prevention Week will be held on Saturday, October 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fire Station #5 (341 Orange Avenue).
I was out there last year, and it was such a great time. Families filled the station, kids were running around wide-eyed at the fire trucks, and the firefighters made everyone feel welcome. It was inspiring to see how many people came out to support our local heroes – and I’m sure this year will be even bigger.
What to Expect This Year
The open house is completely free and perfect for families. There will be live demonstrations, fire equipment displays, and fire prevention exhibits that are both educational and fun. You’ll get to see the firefighters, EMTs, and paramedics in action, plus meet the Fire Explorers and Fire Prevention team.
It was cool to see so many demonstrations and watch the fire department in action. I even had a chance to use a fire extinguisher, which is something I luckily have never had a chance to do before.
Along with all this they will also have local vendors, community organizations, and entertainment for children. A brand-new addition this year is a kid’s scavenger hunt, which I know will be a hit for families.
Be sure you follow the Chula Vista Fire Department on Instagram. They always have fun activities for the families like the annual Chula Vista Fire Department Pancake Breakfast. I love getting out there for that one.

Why You Should Go to the Chula Vista Fire Department Open House
If you’ve never been to the Fire Department’s Open House, this is your chance to see firsthand the incredible work our firefighters do every day. Bring the kids, watch some of the demonstrations, let them climb aboard the fire engines, and take part in the scavenger hunt. It’s a fun, safe, and educational event for the whole family.
I’ll be there again this year, and I hope to see our community come out in full force. Let’s show our support for the men and women who keep us safe.
