The Living Coast Discovery Center is a nonprofit zoo and aquarium proudly located in the San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Founded in 1987 as the Chula Vista Nature Interpretive Center, we’ve been dedicated to serving the San Diego community for over 30 years. Open to the public Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We offer an immersive experience connecting visitors with the region’s diverse wildlife.
Our community comprises passionate staff, dedicated volunteers, wildlife ambassadors, and partners from across the nation, all working together to inspire stewardship of coastal resources and wildlife.
