Exciting news, Chula Vista! A brand-new bakery, Tus Chefs Favoritas, is set to open in San Miguel Ranch Chula Vista. It will bring a fresh twist to Mexican pastries like conchas. If you love sweet treats, this is one spot you won’t want to miss. We have been waiting for them to open for some time now and can’t wait to support them. For now, we have had to head over to Tortillas de Harina Elice on Main Street to get their specialty conchas.
Best Friends Turned Bakers
Located in The Shops at San Miguel Ranch, Tus Chefs Favoritas is the dream project of best friends Natalie Rodriguez and Lesly Mendoza. Their journey began during the pandemic when they started baking conchas just for fun. After months of practice, they perfected their recipe and fell in love with the process. Soon, they began selling their gourmet conchas to the local community, and word spread quickly about their delicious creations.
“We’ve been best friends since high school and always knew we’d start a business together; we just didn’t know what kind,” says Natalie Rodriguez. “Baking conchas started as a fun project, but once we found the perfect recipe, we knew we had to share them with everyone.”
Tus Chefs Favoritas Is More Than Just Conchas
With the upcoming opening of their bakery in Eastlake (in the former Halo Halo Cafe space), Natalie and Lesly are ready to offer even more treats. While conchas will remain their main focus, they’ll also introduce seasonal favorites like Pan de Muerto and Rosca de Reyes.
The concha menu will feature exciting flavors like strawberry, vanilla, chocolate, Fruity Pebbles, Mazapan, Oreo, and coffee! At Tus Chefs Favoritas, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
