Top Three Chula Vista Parks This Summer

Summer is wrapping up, and I’m excited to share my top three Chula Vista parks that made the season unforgettable. And yes, my number one pick is a Chula Vista gem—no arguments allowed!

3. Grove Park, Village of Montecito

Grove Park is a newer spot with all the modern amenities you could want. It’s got pickleball and basketball courts, a huge playground, and plenty of seating. The only downside? Parking can be tricky since it’s a community park without a dedicated lot.

2. Mountain Hawk Park

The views here are simply breathtaking. I love walking the trails and cooling off at the popper fountain—perfect for those hot summer days. With its wide-open spaces, Mountain Hawk Park is a fantastic place to soak in the great weather.

1. Rohr Park

My all-time favorite has to be Rohr Park. With a 3-mile walking trail, updated playground, spacious dog park, and even a train ride every second weekend of the month, this park has it all. It’s no wonder it tops my list every time.

Those are my top three parks this summer—what about you? Share your favorites in the comments below!

I have lived in this great community for over 30 years. In that time I have seen so many changes both good and bad. My goal is to promote this city and all of the good that goes on here. There are so many local events, small businesses and community groups making this city even better. You can always find me at the events taking photos. This site is a passion project of mine and I want to use this platform to get the community engaged. Get out and enjoy Chula Vista and make sure to follow me on all the socials for more!
