The Vogue Theater in Chula Vista opened in 1945

Did you know that on this day in 1945, the Historic Vogue Theater opened to the public? If you have lived in Chula Vista for a while, then you have memories of this spot. It was the go-to movie theater in the area. You got three movies for $4, a little more if you got the back lounge seats. What was the last movie you saw here? They had plans on making it a beer & music hall, but I think that fell through. I would love to peek inside to see what the theater looks like now. Comment on your memories of this theater and let’s remember some Chula Vista history.
