Latest rumor for San Miguel Ranch Center

I have heard numerous rumors about the old Albertsons location at the San Miguel Ranch Center in Chula Vista. I won’t believe any of them until the day they open the door. The latest rumor is that this is going to be an indoor pickleball and fitness center. I still think they need to add a Hispanic supermarket, but I guess that is never going to happen. May 2025 Update: I appreciate all the comments you posted on my Instagram post! It seems everyone is in agreement that we want to see a Northgate Market move into this location. I wholeheartedly support this idea. I’ve always believed that a Northgate Market or an El Super Market would be perfect for this spot. I’m not sure what the hold-up is, but we need to put this to a vote and make it happen!

I have lived in this great community for over 30 years. In that time I have seen so many changes both good and bad. My goal is to promote this city and all of the good that goes on here. There are so many local events, small businesses and community groups making this city even better. You can always find me at the events taking photos.
