This is the one you always ask me about when I do a video or post about the brand-new Gaylord Pacific Resort & Convention Center. The new Bayfront resort is set to open in the summer of 2025; it is getting so close. Last week, I was out there, and all of the construction cranes were gone. It is crazy to see how far this project has come. Now is the time to ask, “When are the Gaylord Pacific Resort & Convention Center jobs coming?” Well, after a recent Chula Vista City Council Meeting, we are starting to get a better idea of when they will start hiring.

A Look at the Hiring Timeline

The new resort hiring office is expected to open in February 2025, bringing Gaylord Pacific Resort & Convention Center jobs to eager applicants. Initial hires will focus on the kitchen staff. If you’ve got experience in the culinary world, this could be your chance to join an exciting new venture! Gaylord Pacific Resort & Convention Center jobs are perfect for those looking to start or advance their hospitality careers, whether you’re aiming to become a front desk supervisor, a sous chef, or even a banquet coordinator. The resort will feature over six restaurants and a large convention center, meaning they’ll need a lot of kitchen talent. I would save the link and keep checking. You can also find some salaried jobs posted on Indeed right now.

The number of conventions already scheduled for 2025 and beyond indicates that the convention center will require a large workforce. If you search Google for “Gaylord Pacific Resort & Convention Center Schedule,” you’ll find a list of upcoming conferences and conventions in the area. During my search, I noticed that many of them are medical conventions, which I found interesting. It’s exciting to have a major convention center right in our backyard! I’m really looking forward to it.
