South Bay Earth Day 2026
One of the biggest draws every year is the live music, and this year is no exception. The main stage will be going all day long, so grab a lawn chair, find a good spot, and just soak it in. It’s honestly one of those rare events where you can kick back, enjoy some great live performances, and not spend a dime. I’ll be posting more details about the bands and performers as we get closer to the event, so stay tuned.
If you have not attended the Chula Vista Earth Day event, learn more about it on our website.
Beyond the music, the event is packed with over 40 green vendors, a DIY tent, nonprofit booths, local food vendors, and an Artist Alley showcasing environmentally conscious art. Kids will love the Kid Zone, where they can decorate kitchen waste caddies, meet live animals from the Living Coast Discovery Center, and play interactive conservation games.
One of the coolest features is the Fix-it Clinic, where you can bring in small electronics, mechanical items, or anything else that needs a little TLC, and an expert will help you diagnose and fix it on the spot. There’s also a tie-dye workshop where you can breathe new life into old t-shirts, a fun, hands-on way to think about reducing textile waste.
Getting there the eco-friendly way is encouraged. Ride your bike and take advantage of the free on-site bike valet, or hop on MTS public transit. This is a zero-waste event, so every detail has been thoughtfully planned with the planet in mind.
Come on out and enjoy a Saturday morning with great music, good food, and great people. It’s free, it’s fun, and it’s the perfect way to celebrate Earth Day right here in our own backyard.
