Chula Vista Police National Night OutGet ready for the Chula Vista Police National Night Out event. This year’s event will be on Tuesday, August 6th. It starts at 4 PM and goes until 8 PM. Last year, National Night Out at the Chula Vista Police Department was a fantastic community event! The free event brought together residents of all ages to meet and engage with our local police officers. It was a unique opportunity to learn more about the work our officers do every day to keep our community safe.

The event was filled with friendly faces and positive interactions, helping to build trust and understanding between the police and the community. Families, especially children, enjoyed meeting their local law enforcement heroes, seeing them as role models, and envisioning future careers in public service.

Police Chief Roxanne Kennedy highlighted the importance of such events, especially in times of scrutiny, to show the human side of our officers. She encouraged everyone to take advantage of these opportunities to get to know the people behind the badge and to learn more about their role in our community.

This year’s event is expected to be bigger. Tacos EL Gordo will also be serving up free tacos, so make sure you get there early.
