With this year’s theme, “Empowering our Future Leaders,” the event offers a variety of entertainment, including performances by local schools, an impressive car show, face painting, vendor booths, and special giveaways. Last year’s event attracted approximately 5,000 children and families, with the car show of lowriders and classic cars being the biggest draw. The Day of the Child celebration honors traditions like Mexico’s “El Día Del Niño” and the United Nations’ World’s Children’s Day, bringing them to the Southbay community.
The Chula Vista Community Collaborative has been connecting families with essential resources for over 30 years, supporting their mission of giving all students equal opportunities to succeed.
