Chula Vista residents should have already received a letter in the mail this week from the US Census Bureau announcing the arrival of the actual Census Form next week. Residents should be pleasantly surprised when the form arrives -- the 2010 census form is one of the shortest in history. The questionnaire asks only 10 questions this year, and census officials estimate that it can be completed in just 10 minutes.
The City of Chula Vista has been working hard to encourage its residents to send back their completed forms promptly. Residents will be able to pick up extra census forms at City recreation centers and libraries beginning March 22. Residents can also get individual assistance by going to one of the Questionnaire Assistance Centers located in the Civic Center and South Branch Libraries from late March through April. Call 1-(866) 872-6868 for hours and further assistance in English, or 1-(866) 928-2010 for Spanish language assistance.
