Otay Ranch Town Center welcomed My Health Stop with a Grand Opening event on Saturday, January 23. With Otay Ranch Town Center being the only shopping mall in San Diego to a health clinic, My Health Stop celebrated its Grand Opening and Fitness Month with FREE lectures on nutrition and BMI, FREE health and fitness classes, performances by local high school dance troupes, Z90 radio broadcasting live from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and a special appearance by Hambrick, the clinic’s Pig mascot (named after Dr. Ivy Hambrick). My Health Stop, a convenient and affordable medical clinic for children (ages 2+) and young adults, is located near the Food Pavilion across from bebe. “Otay Ranch Town Center is an ideal location for My Health Stop because of its central location to many high schools and elementary schools,” says Dr. Ivorique “Dr. Ivy” Hambrick, DO, Medical Director of My Health Stop.
“Our nurse practitioners and physician assistants are experienced and ready to diagnose and treat your child’s minor illnesses and injuries to get them moving again. We also offer wellness screenings, vaccinations, physicals, as well as a family-focused pediatric weight management program for overweight children and teens.” ShapeDown, the clinic’s weight management program, is a unique pediatric weight loss system consisting of nutrition tips and physical training. ShapeDown is a 20 year old proven program developed by the San Francisco Medical School that really helps kids get fit and lose weight. The clinic’s Shapedown program is offered on Sundays from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Unique to the clinic is a giant light board floor (located in the waiting room) which is used for the ShapeDown program. Children get fit by doing Hip Hop and dancing on the light floor. The light floor is also a great activity while the children are waiting to see the doctor as well. My Health Stop is run by Dr. Ivy Hambrick, DO, who specializes in Family Medicine. My Health Stop is located at Otay Ranch Town Center, 2015 Birch Rd. Suite 509 in Chula Vista.
