Crome and cars once again rule the downtown Chula Vista area every Tuesday night. The Blast from the Past Classic Car Show will kick off this Tuesday at 5pm and run till 8pm. Everyone is invited to come out and check out all the classic cars and tricked out rides. Each week the show will feature a different theme of classic cars. There will also be prizes and trophies for the winners in six different categories. The event is held along Third Avenue between G Street and Davidson. Along with the cars, vendors are always on hand and there is plenty of music and entertainment for the family.
The Southbay Cruisers put on this event each year with the help from local sponsors. The group was formed in 1990 by local car owners who wanted to help out local charities. Members of the group as well as fellow car enthusiast show off their classic cars at a variety of local shows and events. Money raised goes to helping charities in the community.
