Chula Vista Library Speed Dating (6:00 PM - 9:00 PM)
The Chula Vista Public Library, where all love stories are housed and where bookends meet, is bringing back its popular literary speed dating event. Adults over the age of 21 can meet their novel friends or maybe a new love at the library’s “Literary Luau” on Friday, July 16. In classic speed dating style, participants have five minutes with each partner to talk over their favorite books. Tacos For Freedom Cook Off (11:00 AM - 2:00 PM)
This Saturday at the Otay Ranch Town Center will host the Tacos for Freedom Cook Off. The event will have live music and activities for the kids. Proceeds benefit the Generate Hope, a group providing safe housing and long term recovery for victims of sex trafficking and exploitation. Cost is $10 and $5 for kids 5 to 11, younger than that are free.

Flor Y Canto Music & Art Series (4:00 PM - 7:00 PM)
We are kicking off the 2nd Annual Flor Y Canto Music & Art Series at Otay Ranch Town Center. The event will take place the last Sunday of June, July, August, September and October from 4-7p. It will feature live musical and dance performances as well as local artists displaying their work. The event will be located in Restaurant Row between Frida/Kings and CPK/Nico’s near the large bowl fountain. The Flor Y Canto for June 27th will feature a live performance by The Israel Maldonado Band. Dates will be: - July 25
