Tickets are still available for the Chula Vista Public Library (CVPL) Foundation event scheduled for Saturday, April 27. From 5 to 9 p.m., CVPL Foundation will host “Bon Appetit: Celebrating Food, Wine and Our Libraries” at Otay Ranch Town Center in the food pavilion near the Otay Ranch branch library. Several area restaurants and food vendors, excellent vintners, great music, a silent and live auction will entertain guests (21 and older). Besides wine and food, there will be samples of champagne, beer, and tequila.

In addition to the great silent auction items, there will also be a live auction for VIP ticket packages to concerts at Sleeptrain Amphitheatre, and a grand prize raffle for a $1,000 shopping spree at Otay Ranch Town Center. The VIP ticket packages at Sleeptrain include four tickets to one of today’s hottest boy bands – One Direction, who will be at the Amphitheatre on August 4. The VIP passes include premium seating, valet parking and admittance to lounge and buffet for those 21 and older. Other concert raffle tickets include Vans Warped Tour on June 19, and Channel 933 Summer Kickoff on May 10.

Tickets for the evening are $40 per person and can be purchased at the three City libraries, First Bank, located at 2314 Proctor Valley Road, or at the door. Tickets for the grand prize, at a cost of only $5 each, can be purchased in advance with no need to be present to win.

The CVPL Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports the Chula Vista Public Library by providing charitable funds to further the education and community service goals of the library. Some of the CVPL Foundation’s efforts include: support for library services, programs, collections and promotion and development of the Chula Vista arts and culture community.
