It’s that time of year again and can you believe it is going to be ten years. San Diego’s MAGIC 92.5, Z90.3, Xavier The X-Man, Emilio Nares Foundation and the American Red Cross will come together for “Xavier The X-Man’s Cruise for the Cause,” at Otay Ranch Town Center in Chula Vista on Saturday, August 11, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is a blood & bone marrow drive to help children with cancer.
Every year more and more people come out to this great Chula Vista event and 2012 marks Xavier The X-Man’s 10 year anniversary. He does this for his commitment to inform the community of the importance of blood/bone marrow donation in order to help kids with cancer. This free car show and family event will showcase over 500 of the hottest classic cars, low-riders, hot rods, tuners/imports, bikes, customs, SUV’s, trucks and motorcycles in Southern California. If you missed it last year then make sure you check out our Cruise for the Cause photo gallery from the event.
The event will feature live entertainment by the bands Rising Star and City Lights, a Kids Zone and a PPG coloring contest. The event will also feature a beer garden (for those with a valid ID) and more.
To help raise money and awareness for the Emilio Nares Foundation, The X-Man will raffle off a 1963 Chevy Impala Super Sport to one lucky winner. Full details can be found at www.MAGIC925.com.
“It’s all about saving children’s lives and coming together as a community to make a difference,” The X-Man says, “It doesn’t cost a dime to register on the national bone marrow registry and to donate blood at my event. I’ll guarantee you will make the world a better place and walk away feeling good about yourself!”
